Where is the weight on my Florida registration?

Look for WT in the vehicle description line (WT-L-BHP: weight, length, brake horsepower). The first number is the weight in pounds that the fee is based on.

Is Florida registration based on GVWR?

No. Cars and light trucks use net weight (s.320.08(2) and (3), F.S.). Only heavy trucks over 5,000 lb are taxed by declared gross vehicle weight, starting at a $60.75 base tax for 5,001 to 5,999 lb (s.320.08(4)).
